Summary:PURPOSE: A horizontal transfer system of a container for a dual mode trailer(DMT) transportation system is provided to horizontally load a container without installing an extra drive unit at the platform of a loading dock. CONSTITUTION: A horizontal transfer system of a container for a dual mode trailer(DMT) transportation system comprises a caterpillar(10), a lift apparatus(20) and a bucket(30). The caterpillar comprises a main body(12), a reversible actuator(14), a rotator(16) and a track(18). The main body comprises frames(122,124) facing each other. The lift apparatus is installed at the caterpillar movably up and down. The bucket is integrally installed at the lift apparatus and loads a container movably up and down.
