Summary:PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing a visual feedback are provided to highlight a bucket by visible rays in real time during polishing. CONSTITUTION: A system(100) for providing a visual feedback comprises a model(135), a scanning system(125), a comparator, and an illumination system(140). The model has a desired representation of a workpiece(115). The scanning system generates a current representation of the in-process workpiece. The comparator compares the current shape of the workpiece with a desired shape. The illumination system highlights the workpiece using visible rays during polishing.
