Summary:PURPOSE: A laundry keeping method of a drum type washing machine is provided to prevent mold or germs from growing by sterilizing the germs of laundry by irradiating ultraviolet rays to the laundry with a sterilization lamp. CONSTITUTION: A laundry keeping method of a drum type washing machine comprises the following steps. Whether the washing machine enters a keeping mode is monitored(S10) and if true, the drum is regularly rotated and hot wind is supplied to the inside of the drum(S30). Whenever a predetermined time for the keeping mode lapses, the hot wind is supplied to the inside of the drum. Rotating the drum and supplying the hot wind are repetitively performed every a certain period of time of a day in the keeping mode.
