Summary:PURPOSE: An access device for an operation is provided to facilitate an operation inside the body of a patient by inserting a plurality of surgical instruments into the body of the patient with various insertion angles. CONSTITUTION: An access device for an operation comprises a retractor(58), a housing(56) and a flexible shield unit. The reactor has an aperture for forming a path inside a body cavity. The housing is combined in the retractor. The housing has a plurality of seal ports(52) for receiving the surgical instrument. The flexible shield is arranged inside the retractor. The flexible shield unit protects a tissue from the damage due to the insertion of the surgical instrument through the seal port and the retractor.
