Summary:PURPOSE: A seedling bed transfer apparatus and a method thereof are provided to efficiently manage transfer of a seedling bed, and to simply and automatically transfer the seedling bed to a work place for improving working efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A seedling bed transfer apparatus comprises a transfer rail(2), a pickup unit(10), and a control unit(5). The transfer rail is prepared around a plurality of seedling beds(1). The pickup unit transfers the seedling bed to a work place, and is moved according to the transfer unit. The control unit controls the pickup unit. The control unit includes a plurality of sensor units(20) recognizing the seedling bed. The sensor unit includes a space sensor part detecting a space for putting on the seedling bed. The sensor unit further includes a central center part(25) recognizing the center of the seedling bed.
