Summary:PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for removing motion adaptive noise are provided to separate a spatial area filter into a pre-processing spatial area filter and a post-processing spatial area filter, thereby effectively removing noise. CONSTITUTION: A device performs spatial area filtering for motion detection for an input video frame I(t). The device determines a temporal area filtering weight by detecting a motion degree between a spatial area-filtered video frame and a previous video frame FF(t-T)(S22). The device performs the spatial area filtering for a temporal area filtered video(S24). The device outputs a noise-removed video frame.
