Summary:In a non contact power supply device for supplying power to a movable body, a power supply unit and a power receiving unit can be manufactured easily and at a low cost, and rapid charging and the transmission of large power can be performed. The non contact power supply device for the movable body comprises a power supply unit (24) provided along a running path (30) for the movable body (1) and a power receiving unit (7) provided on the movable body and supplies power in such a manner that the power receiving unit stands face to face with the power supply unit. In the non contact power supply device, the power supply unit (24) is fixed onto the surface of the running path (30) for the movable body (1) or in air over the surface of the running path, the power receiving unit (7) is fixed on a position on which the power receiving unit can stand face to face with the power supply unit (24) with a predetermined gap therebetween when the movable body (1) stops at a position on which the power supply unit (24) is set. The power supply unit (24) and the power receiving unit (7) are constituted of a plate-like core (43) whose long side (45a) is arranged in the movement direction (b) of the movable body (1). Power is supplied to the power supply unit by use of a power supply line (25) laid under the ground or in air.
