Summary:PURPOSE: A honing method and a honing machine are provided so that the load added in the hone stone is equalized and the horning precision is stabilized. CONSTITUTION: A horning processing method is as follows. A driving source for reciprocating a spindle(4) shuttles a rotary spindle(2) the axis line of a work piece(W) inner circumference. The rotary main shaft has a honing tool(1). A servo motor(37) for a servo motor(20) for a principal axis round-trip driving and cutting drive are used as a driving source for cutting. The cutting driving source exaggerates a hone stone(10) with cutting. The processing load added in the hone stone connects the operation of both sides servo motor and it is equalized. A cutting expanding action of the hone stone are synchronized in going and returning action of the honing tool.
