Summary: | PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for providing power in a semiconductor memory device are provided to secure the stable operation of an array block and an auxiliary block by supplying power for data output driving to the array block and the auxiliary block. CONSTITUTION: A first power from a first power source pin and a second power from a second power source pin include identical voltage levels. A memory array block(10) is connected to the first power source pin. The memory array block periodically refreshes in order to maintain data. An auxiliary circuit block(20) is connected to the first power source pin. The auxiliary circuit block supports the data writing/reading operation of the memory array block. A data output driver(30) is connected to the second power pin. A switching unit(40) is switched during the periodic refresh operation mode of the memory array block. |
