PURPOSE: A vacuum heat insulating material, a heat insulating box body and a refrigerator using the same are provided to reduce dust and CO2, and to secure the same heat conductivity as glass wool. CONSTITUTION: A vacuum heat insulating material(1) comprises a core member(3), getters(4), and an outer cover member(2). The core member is composed of an organic fiber assembly. The getters adsorb gas or steam. The outer cover member accepts the core member and the getters. Inside the outer cover member is sealed with vacuum. The core member is composed of long fiber webs. The long fiber webs are formed by melt-spinning low hygroscopic materials.
