Summary:PURPOSE: A method for treating bananas is provided to manufacture the bananas of good quality, and to preserve the bananas for a long time with liquid compositions including cyclopropane molecular encapsulant composites. CONSTITUTION: A method for treating bananas includes a step for contacting the bananas with liquid compositions containing the cyclopropane molecular encapsulant composites for 1 ~ 4 seconds. The liquid composition contains 0 ~ 0.1 weight% of a non-ionic surfactant and a metal chelating agent. The banana is dipped the liquid compositions for 5 ~ 60 seconds. The molecular encapsulant is alpha - cyclodextrin.
