Summary:PURPOSE: An array substrate for fringe field switching mode liquid crystal display device is provided to improve transmittance by suppressing the generation of problems at both ends of a bar-shape opening. CONSTITUTION: A TFT(Thin Film Transistor) is electrically connected to a gate wire(105) and data wire(130). A plate-like pixel electrode(155) contacts a drain electrode(136) of the thin film transistor within a pixel region on a gate insulating layer. A protective layer covers the thin film transistor and data wire on a pixel electrode. A common electrode(170) is formed in the front side of the pixel region on the protective layer. The common electrode has a plurality of openings(op).
