Summary:PURPOSE: An image edge correction method is provided to improve image quality by removing noise in the image edge. CONSTITUTION: A square shaped window is extracted from an input image(st1). A uniform region and non-uniform region is determined by the window. The maximum window of the uniform region and the minimum window of the non-uniform region is determined(st2). A noise filtering process is performed on the maximum window. A minimum dispersion window is determined in the minimum window(st3). The noise filtering process is performed on the determined minimum dispersion region(st4).
