Summary:The invention relates to a valve having a sealing member (3), particularly for the gastight sealing of a valve opening (1) in a closed position of the sealing member (3), wherein the sealing member (3) can be moved during a closing operation by at least one actuator (4) based on a first position of a maximum opening at least at a first partial distance by means of a linear moving component (22) in the direction of the closed position of said sealing member, and the actuator (4) carries out a sealing stroke in a linear stroke direction (23) together with said moving component for a movement of the sealing member (3), wherein the actuator (4) is disposed in relation to the sealing member (3) such that an angle deviating between 0° and 180° is provided between the linear moving component (22) of the sealing member (3) at the first partial distance, based on the first position of maximum opening, and the linear stroke direction (23) of the actuator (4).
