Summary:PURPOSE: A method for preparing organosilane is provided to improve selectivity and conversion ratio and use alkali metal hydroxide inside sulfide ingredient. CONSTITUTION: An organosilane of chemical formula 1 is prepared by reacting (haloorganyl)alkoxysilane of chemical formula 2 with alkali metal hydrogen sulfide, sulfur and alkali metal carbonate in alcohol. The mole ratio between (haloorganyl)alkoxysilane and alkali metal hydrogen sulfide is 1:0.4-1:0.75. The mole ratio between alkali metal hydrogen sulfide and alkali metal carbonate is 1:0.5-1:1.5. An additive is added before, during, or after reaction. The additive is non-alcoholic solvent or polar, protic, nonprotic, basic or acidic additive. A method for preparing organosilane comprises a step of removing alcohol/water mixture from crude product suspension liquid and removing a product of chemical formula 1 from the solid. The alcohol/water mixture is removed from the product of chemical formula 1 by distillation or phase-isolation.
