Summary:PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing natural materials for scalp is provided to prevent and treat scalp itch, suppress dandruff and ensure cell proliferation. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for scalp contains Solanum melongena L. root, Chrysanthemum zawadskii var. latilobum, Ipomoea batatas Lam., Zizyphus jujuba Miller var. Inermis Rehd, Laminaria Japonica Areschoug and Pinellia ternata Breit. The mixture extract is isolated using C1-C4 alcohol, or its hydrous alcohol. The alcohol is methanol or ethanol. The hydrous alcohol is 30% of hydrous ethanol, or 70% of hydrous ethanol. The mixture is contained in 0.001~5 weight% based on total dry weight of the composition. The cosmetic composition for scalp is used in the form of shampoo, rinse, pack or tonic.
