Summary:PURPOSE: A destination floor registration and floor entry-exit administration system for an elevator using an electronic card key and a method thereof are provided to allow only authorized people to enter and exit all or partial floors in a building. CONSTITUTION: An electronic card key input unit(10) is installed near a destination floor input button(14) in an elevator car, and linked with an entry-exit administration device(20) of a building. An electronic card key(30) includes information about entry and exit authentication to the specific floor of the building. When a person carrying the electronic cad key touches the electronic card key to the electronic card key input unit, the information is transmitted to the entry-exit administration device. According to the information, the destination floor is automatically registered or only the destination layer the person is given authority is registered.
