Summary:PURPOSE: A ventilation system and a control method thereof are provided to facilitate design and construction of a ventilation system by correctly discharging air to the outside and supplying air to the inside. CONSTITUTION: A control method of a ventilation system comprises following steps. The first temperature of air flowing into the first flow path and the second temperature of the air flowing into the second path are detected(502). The operation mode based on the detected temperature is selected comparing the first temperature and the second temperature(504). The operation of an electric heat exchanger is performed in the operation mode corresponding to a received operation command(506). The first flow path is classified into an air supply path when the first temperature requires a cold climate area mode operation. The second flow path is classified into an air supply path when the second temperature requires a cold climate area mode operation.
