PURPOSE: An environment recognition device including a dustproof shutter is provided to open and shut a shutter which protects a light such as a camera lens and a laser diode, thereby minimizing the influence of scattered paint. CONSTITUTION: A case(10) has one or more external apertures(12). A shutter(24) has one or more internal cavities(22) corresponding to the external apertures. In order that the lens of a camera(34) faces the internal cavity direction, the camera is fixed on a rotation plate(20). A light(32) irradiates the light in the direction which the lens of the camera faces. One end of a spring(42) rotates the rotation plate with the elasticity in the forward direction. Within a predetermined relief angle, the case is fixed and the rotation plate is rotated with the elasticity of the spring in a state that Internal and external apertures are misaligned. Over the predetermined relief angle, the case and the rotation plate are rotated in a body.
