Summary: | PURPOSE: A log likelihood ratio apparatus and a method thereof in a multi antenna communication system for reducing the complexity of realization are provided to generate log likelihood ratio by using Euclidean distance transformed in a receiver. CONSTITUTION: A candidate signal determiner(705) estimates candidate transmission signals about transmission channel by the use of MML(Modified Maximum Likelihood) decoding. A correlation unit performs correlation between a signal and a specific input value of each transmission channel based on the transmission signal. The correlation unit calculates the Euclid distance. An LLR(Log Likelihood Ratio) generating unit(713) calculates LLR by the usage of the transformed enclidean distance [Euclidean distances]. |
