Summary:PURPOSE: An access point apparatus and a method thereof are provided to receive a packet in an appropriate bit transmission rate for user terminals respectively by controlling bit rate of input packets depending on a relevant bit transmission information. CONSTITUTION: A bit transfer rate registration unit(110) registers the bit transfer rate information to user terminals(11,12,13). A packet transmission unit(130) transmits input packet to the user terminals. The user terminal is corresponded to the destination address of the input packet. A bit transfer rate controller(120) controls the packet transmission unit depending on the bit transfer rate information. The bit transfer rate information is coincided with the destination address of the input packet among the registered bit transfer rate information.
