Summary:PURPOSE: An apparatus for encoding a dispersion vector based on the Eignevalue normalization in an MIMO antenna system and a method thereof are provided to realize a receiving stage through a low-complexity modular receiver without additional channel compensation. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus of a transmitter which performs the preprocessing in an MIMO antenna system includes a pre-processor(120) and a transmission unit. The pre-processor minimizes the transmission power by using a dispersion vector when pre-processing encoded information. The transmission unit modulates the pre-processed signal and then transmits it through at least one antenna.
