Summary:PURPOSE: A portable terminal is provided to maximize the amount of current which flows in an electric field reducing unit by forming the electric field reducing unit so as to have a quarter length of the wavelength of a radio wave transmitted/received to/from an antenna. CONSTITUTION: A portable terminal contains a terminal body, a ground unit and an electric field reducing unit(140). At one end of the terminal body, a receiver(131) is equipped. The ground unit is connected from an antenna mounted in the terminal body. The electric field reducing unit is connected to the ground unit. To reduce the strength of the electric field which is formed around the receiver, a portion of the current flowing in the ground unit is moved to one side of the terminal body.
