A system for operating a medical examination using a radio frequency identification tag and a portable information receiving device and a method adapted to the same are provided to manage by grasping the location of a person being medically examined. An RFID readers(110-1~110-N) read each patient identification information when each RFID tag comes close to the constant range scale. The portable terminal is received the inspection progress information corresponding to each person being examined. The patient position management system(120) produces the patient position information corresponding to each person, and the patient identification information transmitted from each RFID reader to the natural disposition. The patient information providing system(170) transmits the inspection progress information corresponded to each person according to the patient position information transmitted from the patient position management system in each portable terminal.
