Summary:A servo motor is provided to be controlled by a PWM signal mode and a serial communication mode by including compatible three input ports. A digital communication data and a PWM signal are inputted through a signal input port. A PWM signal processing part(23) converts the PWM signal into a PWM signal for driving a servo motor. A digital communication data processing part(24) converts the digital communication data into a PWM signal for driving the servo motor. A signal determining part(21) determines an input signal inputted to the signal input port. A PWM generator generates a PWM driving pulse by the PWM signal for driving the servo motor inputted from the digital communication processing part and the PWM signal processing part. A motor driving part(26) drives the servo motor by the PWM driving pulse.
