Summary:A sanitary water valve having an insert unit in the form of a jet regulator which is inserted into the outlet pipe of the water valve and secured therein is characterized in that the insert unit (12) is arranged inside a separate sleeve (11) and, together with the sleeve (11), can be plugged into the outlet pipe (16) of the water valve, wherein barbs (15) are provided on the sleeve (11) and can be pressed radially to engage in the inner wall of the outlet pipe (16) by means of an axial relative displacement of the insert unit (12) with respect to the sleeve (11).
