Summary: | An all-optical switch using surface plasmon resonance is provided to implement optical integration by controlling the light. A metal foil(530) forms a surface plasmon resonance wave in the rear by the incident light inputted to a total reflection device with a surface plasmon resonance angle. A first incident waveguide(510) is arranged to make the surface plasmon resonance angle with a normal line vertical to the total reflection device and inputs the incident to the total reflection device. An output waveguide(540) is symmetrical to the first incident waveguide with regard to the normal line vertical to the total reflection device and outputs the incident light reflected from the total reflection device. A second incident waveguide(550) outputs the incident light to the output waveguide by changing the surface plasmon resonance condition formed by the incident light inputted with the surface plasmon resonance angle. |
