Summary:A modular jack manufacturing method and a modular jack on a top section of wire are provided to reduce the manufacturing cost of the modular jack by plating connecting portion of the wire to the gold. A wire(200) is cut to the fixed length. The cut wire is engaged to a splice. The wire by the splice is plated with the gold. Only a tip-end part(210) of the wire connecting with a modular plug is plated with gold. The wire in which the tip-end part is plated with the gold is cut and it is separated from splice. The wire separated from splice is inserted into the modular jack.
