Summary:A power boost method in system frequency degradation and an apparatus thereof are provided to increase the output of a generator and a turbine by partly blocking steam supplied to a feed water heater in case system frequency is drastically degraded. A power boost apparatus in system frequency degradation comprises an additional control valve(218), and a controller(216). The additional control valve controls the opening degree of an additional steam supply path in order to control the supply quantity of the additional steam supplied through an additional pipe. The controller controls the additional control valve when the system frequency falls over proper limit. The controller reduces the opening degree from the normal opening degree to the target opening degree. The controller restores the opening degree when the system frequency is within normal range.
