Summary:A device and a method for offering a parking assistant camera service in a portable terminal are provided to offer the service without any rear view camera by receiving and outputting an image of a parking lot monitoring camera through NFC(Near Field Communication). A controller(100) selects and transmits a parking section when a parking log monitoring camera is connected through NFC by executing a parking application. The controller controls a function for processing an image signal when the image signal of the selected parking section is received from the parking log monitoring camera. An image processing module(104) processes the received image signal. A display unit(106) displays the image signal processed by the image processing module. An NFC unit(102) transceives a wireless signal through the NFC.
