Summary: | A method for variably controlling the bit rate of video data through the recognition of state of an end-to-end channel in a WiBro(Wireless Broadband) network is provided to control the transmission bit rate of a video codec properly according to the state of a WiBro channel when transmitting video data. When transmitting video data, the states of transmitting-side and receiving-side wireless channels are classified into a normal state and an abnormal state(200). According to the classified result, the encoding byte rate of the transmitting-side encoder is variably determined. The determined encoding byte rate is compared with a DL MCS(Down Link Modulation & Coding Selection) level which is a parameter of the receiving-side(234). According to the comparison result, the final encoding byte rate of the transmitting-side is variably determined(236). |
