Summary: | A circuit for preventing a short in a power system of a vehicle and a control method thereof are provided to prevent a high voltage power system from influencing a low voltage power system by turning off a switching element for controlling a load in the low voltage power system when the high voltage power system is short-circuited. A short preventing circuit of a power system for a vehicle includes a switching element for controlling a load, a controller(10), a switching controller(Q3) and a short protection unit. The switching element for controlling the load applies the power from the low voltage power system to the load. The controller controls the switching element for controlling the load. The switching controller controls the switching operation of the switching element for controlling the load according to the control of the controller. If the voltage between the switching element for controlling the load and the load is above the predetermined level, the short protection unit turns off the switching element for controlling the load. |
