Summary:A solar cell and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to shorten a process time and to improve efficiency by absorbing a whole range light by two batteries absorbing lights of a short wavelength and a long wavelength. A solar cell comprises a first battery, a second battery, a first electrode layer(400), and a second electrode layer(500). The first battery is made of a semiconductor wafer(100), and has a PN(Positive Negative) structure. The second battery is formed on one surface of the first battery, is made of a thin film semiconductor layer(200), and has a PIN(Positive Intrinsic Negative) structure. The first electrode layer is formed on one surface of the second battery. The second electrode layer is formed on the other surface of the first battery. A transparent layer(300) is formed between the second battery and the first electrode layer, and has a concavo-convex structure. In the first battery, the PN is a P-type polycrystalline silicone layer(110) and an N-type polycrystalline silicone layer(120). In the second battery, the PIN is a P-type amorphous silicon layer(210), an I-type amorphous silicone layer(220), and an N-type amorphous silicone layer(230).
