Summary:A potable terminal automatically detachable from a terminal cradle is provided to enable communication without moving to a location of the portable terminal by a user. An external input-output terminal(190) is electrically connected to a terminal cradle. If an infrared ray is received from the outside, an infrared ray receiver(130) generates/outputs an infrared ray receiving signal. A wheel driving unit(150) comprises a plurality of wheels, a gear-box for driving the wheel and a motor for driving the gear-box. A preset event occurs when the terminal is put on the terminal cradle. If the infrared ray receiving signal is received, a main control unit(110) starts driving of the wheel driving unit.
