Summary:A cogeneration system is provided to perform heat following operation in which radiation amount is less by grasping heat demand quantity of a heat supply area and by computing heat supply quantity fitting for the demand quantity. Heat supply quantity is computed based on the electric energy of a cogeneration generator. Heat demand quantity considering heat loss is grasped in a consumer. The two values are compared to each other and the heat supply and demand of a corresponding area is controlled. In case the heat demand quantity increases and the difference of the heat demand quantity and heating supply quantity is less, the consumed amount of fuel in the cogeneration generator is increased and the heat supply quantity is more increased. In case the heat demand quantity is remarkably low comparing to the heating supply quantity, the consumed amount of fuel is reduced and the heating supply quantity is reduced.
