A floor material for a mat, which is manufactured at a low cost and is harmless to the human body, is provided, a floor material for a non-slip mat is provided to effectively prevent movements of the mat, a floor material for a mat is provided to effectively reduce noise of a vehicle and apply the floor material to the construction of an artificial lawn, a method for manufacturing the floor materials for mats is provided, and a mat for an automobile floor manufactured by the method is provided. A method for manufacturing a floor material for a mat comprises the steps of: (a) napping a nonwoven fabric(10) such that mountains(110) and valleys(120) are alternately formed side by side on the nonwoven fabric; and (b) heating and curing the surface of the napped nonwoven fabric. The step(a) is performed by punching the nonwoven fabric with napping needles(30) arranged in a plurality of rows. The step(b) is performed by burning the surface of the nonwoven fabric using a direct heating method. A floor material for a mat is characterized in that the floor material is made of nonwoven fabric, and mountains and valleys are alternately formed in one direction side by side on the nonwoven fabric.
