Summary: | A gyroscope using surface acoustic waves is provided to satisfy extreme conditions such as high impact-resistance and high mobility by eliminating a moving structure to change a next generation intelligent ammunition system operating concept. A gyroscope(100) includes a piezoelectric material(111), an oscillating IDT(Interdigital Transducer)(112a,112b), a receiving IDT(113a,113b), and a feedback loop electronic circuit(120a,120b). The oscillating IDT is formed on the surface of the piezoelectric material and generates surface acoustic waves using piezoelectric phenomenon of the piezoelectric material. The receiving IDT converts the surface acoustic waves into an electric signal. The feedback loop electronic circuit is connected between the oscillating IDT and the receiving IDT to form a feedback loop such that the oscillating IDT oscillates through the output of the receiving IDT. |
