Summary:A method for acquiring synchronization for supporting multi frequency in mobile communications terminal and an apparatus thereof are provided to reduce synchronization acquiring time by sharing a digital phase locked loop and a control signal generating part in two modems. A base band digital phase locked loop(304) receives a reference frequency clock from an oscillator of each modem, and generates a reference frequency clock. A control signal generating part(306) outputs a signal for controlling the oscillator of each modem according to frequency offset value estimated in each modem. Two modems(300, 302) share the base band digital phase locked loop and the control signal generating part, and manage each frequency allocation.
