Summary:A vascular calcification mouse model is provided, which can be applied to the research about the mechanism for the generation of the calcification and is useful for the calcification related disease in the diagnosis and therapeutic agent development. A vascular calcification mouse model has one or more properties among the property: calcification generation in the main artery, the arteriae renales, or the pulmonary artery; increase in concentration of calcium among the blood and ALP(alkaline phosphatase); increase of activity of osteoclast in the bone; increase of expression of the type II collagen in the kidney; and increase of expression of type X collagen and osteocalcin in the kidney and lungs.
