Summary:A method for detecting pixel status of flat panel display and display driver thereof is provided to detect the position of the faulty LED comparing state data and scan data. A method for detecting pixel status of flat panel display and display driver thereof is comprised of the steps: supplying scan data to a shift register by a controller(S401); driving the LED according to the scan data by a driving buffer(S403); detecting the state of LEDs by the detecting apparatus(S405); refreshing shift registers to state data by the detecting apparatus(S407); determining the abnormal state of LED through the controller by comparing state data and scan data(S409).
