Summary: | Enabled is to detect the content volume and leakage amount of a pipeline to be inspected, simply and promptly with a remarkably small inspecting device so that the propriety of the inspection result of the pipeline may be precisely judged with the leakage amount related to the content volume of the pipeline. In a leakage inspecting method for a pipe line, an inspecting gas is fed at a predetermined flow rate inward from one end opening of the inspected pipe line in a closed state, while the flow rate being detected by a flow meter and the pressure being detected by a pressure detector, and the temperature of the pipe line or the inspecting gas fed to the pipe line is detected by a temperature detector. The detected pressure value, the detected flow rate value and the detected temperature value are inputted to a processor so that the content volume VL of the inspected pipe line is calculated as VL = Feed Flow Rate Q x Pressure Time Period t / Pressure Rise P2, from the pressure time period t till the pressure rise P2 in the inspected pipe line becomes a set value and from the feed flow rate Q of the inspecting gas. Next, the leakage amount QL from the inspected pipe line is calculated as QL = Pressure Drop P2' x Pipe Line Content Volume VL / Pressure Drop Time t', from the pressure drop P2' after lapse of the predetermined pressure drop time t' after the inside of the inspected pipeline was pressurized to a predetermined value, and from the pipeline content volume VL calculated. |
