Summary:A hot plate is provided to prevent a short circuit by using carbon molding member having thermal conductivity higher than a cast iron or the stainless steel. An electric heat member(1) for a hot plate includes a heating plate(10) having thermal conductance, an electric heater(20), a heat insulator(30) surrounding electric heater, and a receiving unit(40) accommodating the electric heater. A carbon molding product is used for the heating plate. A silicon coating layer coated formed in the exposed surface of the heating plate with a coating solution containing the silane compound.
