Summary: | A waterproofing structure and a waterproofing method for an expansion joint of a concrete structure using an expansion joint member are provided to prevent the leakage of water against thermal expansion or crack formation of a concrete structure, to be attached to an expansion joint of a concrete structure simply and strongly without using a sealing material which is deteriorated or loses elastic force easily or a fixing device which is corroded easily, and to perform waterproof construction work simply with low expenses. A waterproofing structure for an expansion joint of a concrete structure using an expansion joint member using an expansion joint member comprises a back-up material layer(20) supporting a first concrete structure(10) and a second concrete structure(10') in a space(11) between the first concrete structure and the second concrete structure and made of an elastic material such as polyurethane, Styrofoam, etc. to heighten waterproofing effect additionally, a primer layer(30) formed by applying primer on facing top portions(10a,10a') of the first concrete structure and the second concrete structure and to prevent the formation of a gap among the first concrete structure, the second concrete structure and an expansion joint member placed on the top portions to prevent the leakage of water perfectively, a first expansion joint member(100) provided with a space portion(101) placed by bending downward to expand and contract freely in the space and a self-adhesive portion(103) attached to the top portions of the first concrete structure and the second concrete structure by the primer layer, and a cover plate(50) covering the top of a channel(14) to protect the expansion joint member from ultraviolet rays or external materials by removing a partition after a press mortar layer is cured. |
