Summary: | An automatic liquid dispenser and a driving method thereof are provided to detect the height of a container freely by receiving ultrasonic waves reflected on the top surface of the container. An automatic liquid dispenser comprises a container height detecting unit(200), a container height determining unit(210), a liquid dispenser(220), a storing unit(230), a level detecting unit(240), and a comparing unit(250). The container height detecting unit measures height of the container by emitting ultrasonic waves to the top surface of a container and receiving the ultrasonic waves reflected from the top surface. The height determining unit determines the height of the container based on an average value of the container height measured several times. The liquid dispenser injects liquid in the container. The storing unit contains data in which liquid level with regard to the container height is set beforehand. The level detecting unit detects level of liquid in the container. The comparing unit receives the container height output by the height determining unit and the liquid level output by the level detecting unit and compares with the preset liquid level about the container height stored in the storing unit. |
