Summary:A rotary compressor is provided to improve the sealing efficiency of a first compressor by using a structure, in which a gap at an end of a first roller is smaller than a gap at an end of a second roller, or a sealing device provided in the first roller. A rotary compressor comprises housings(33,34) having first and second compression chambers(31,32), first and second flanges(36,37), an intermediate plate(35), first and second rollers(42,52), first and second vanes(43,53) and a vane controller(60). The first and second flanges are coupled with the housings to close the first and second compression chambers, respectively. The intermediate plate is interposed between the first and second compression chambers. The first and second rollers rotate in the first and second compression chambers, respectively. The vane controller controls movement of the first vane by using intake and exhaust pressure. A gap at an end of the first roller is smaller than a gap at an end of the second roller.
