Summary:An automatic liquid dispenser is provided to conveniently detect the level of liquid in a vessel regardless of the shape, material and surface state of the vessel by using ultrasonic waves reflected from the upper surface of the vessel. An automatic liquid dispenser comprises a vessel height measuring unit that irradiates ultrasonic waves onto the upper surface of a vessel and receives the ultrasonic waves reflected from the upper surface of the vessel to measure the height of the vessel. A liquid dispenser(220) dispenses liquid into the vessel. A level detector detects the level of the liquid in the vessel. A liquid adjustor adjusts the liquid dispensed by the liquid dispenser. A controller controls the vessel height measuring unit, the liquid dispenser, the detector and the liquid adjustor. The liquid dispenser is provided with a tube for dispensing the liquid into the vessel and the liquid adjustor includes a shutter mounted on the tube to adjust the amount of the liquid.
