Summary:An electrical socket terminal having a contact stabilizer is provided to reduce local abrasion, plating abrasion, oxidation and concomitant damages by supplying a simple and cheap unit for elastically restraining a plug contact unit within the socket terminal between socket contact units. A socket housing(24) comprises a first set of walls(26), a second set of rigid walls(28), and at least one elastic socket contact unit(32,34). The second set of rigid walls are connected to the first set of walls, and spaced from the first set of walls. The elastic socket contact unit is inwardly prolonged from the first set of walls to a cavity, and includes at least one inwardly prolonging stabilizer configured to restrain a plug contact unit(18) in a side direction.
