A control method for a broadcasting receiver comprises the following steps of: receiving broadcasting signals(S21); inputting a diagnostics menu selection signal(S22); requesting essential information about an MUX(Multiplexer) for the received broadcasting signals with detailed information(S23); storing the received detailed information about the MUX(S24); and displaying the stored detailed information about the MUX(S25).
