Summary:A method and apparatus for overhead reduction of signaling message are provided to facilitate transmitting information which is unchanged from information in the earlier part of the message or in a previous signaling message. A method of providing signaling information in a multi mobile communication system comprising: generating a signaling message by connecting a plurality of fields; transmitting the signaling message, wherein at least two of the plurality of fields convey specific information, a first field of the at least two fields comprising the information and the second of the at least two fields comprising a flag, the flag indicating that a value of the second of the at least fields is the same as the information in the first of the at least two fields.
