Summary: | An iridium-based complex is provided to realize improved blue light emitting property and light emitting efficiency, and excellent solubility to an organic solvent, heat resistance and interfacial characteristics with an electrode. An iridium-based complex contains a pyridine derivative substituted with a C1-C20 alkyl group or C1-C20 alkoxy group and an aryl derivative substituted with a halogen compound, introduced thereto as main ligands. The iridium complex is represented by the following formula 1, wherein R1 is a C1-C20 alkyl group or C1-C20 alkoxy group; Ar is an aryl group; R2 is halogen; and the formula (a) is picolinic acid-B-oxide, pipecolinic acid, anthranilic acid or pyrazinoic acid. |
